Ok, so that doesn't sound like anything a normal adult would want to eat, but I never EVER claimed to be normal. So, we tried it- twice! and its good! Here's the recipe:
10 oz pasta sauce
1 lb ground beef
16-28 oz frozen shoestring fries
That's it. First, start cooking the fries at 400F. While that's going on, brown the beef, crumbling it with the spoon. Now, I added some seasoning to the beef. Montreal steak seasoning, to be exact. Then I strained the oil/fat off while browning some garlic (which went into the doggy dinner bowl after cooling). Then I added the pasta sauce to the garlic, and then stirred in the beef. Let it simmer until the fries are done. Cover if you want. I did.
When the fries are nicely browned, take the beefy garlicy sauce and pour it into an 8 x 8 pyrex dish. Top this with the french fries. All of them. Bake for 10 minutes.
I served it the first time just like that, but the second time (last night) we had fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream on ths side. YUM.
